BOXING POSTERS
Category
GRAPHIC DESIGN
As an avid boxing fan, I enjoy watching the sport and wanted to create posters for some of my favorite boxers and matchups. These designs were part of a fun conceptual project where I experimented with layering backgrounds and using complementary textures to convey specific atmospheres.
The Beterbiev versus Bivol poster embodies the grit of a coliseum showdown set in ancient Rome. I achieved this through layered textures to evoke the wear and distress of the stone that makes up the Roman Coliseum.
For the Inoue versus Davis poster, I imagined a boxing match being promoted in ancient Japan on washi paper, a traditional Japanese material. Inspired by the vibrant cityscape of Yokohama at night, with its illuminated buildings and colorful Ferris wheel, I allowed these elements to subtly shine through the rough paper texture.
